Browser in which it doesn't work is microsoft edge ("version 88.0").

Drawing tablet software that I am using is huion tablet ("version v14.8").

There's probably something wrong in the implementation of Edge on your tablet, or possibly something on the tablet interfering with it.

Something that has worked on some tablets is turning off "Windows Ink" -- it interferes with drag and drop code in silly ways (I wish Microsoft would try the industry meme called "testing", but I suspect if they did, they'd never get a product out the door)

That actually did it. In the huion tablet software there is a "enable windows ink" checkbox that I could disable. With that I can now drag cards around in Trello.

Thanks for the answer, though can't say I know much about how microsoft does their testing ;P
