Why can I no longer search for links to attach when pressing the link button? How to fix?

For the longest time I've been able to select text > click the link button > search for any card from all of the boards that I'm in.
But now this feature seems to have disappeared.
(Previously, after typing anything in that "Link" field, a dropdown with a list of cards would appear)

For reference, the exact same UI appears if I click "Attachment".

Is there any way to fix this? Or is it a new trello version that caused that?

Hi @Uvia - this is because the link functionality in the description of a card is different to the functionality on the 'Attachment' button on the right hand side of the card back.

@Alex W Was it changed recently? Because it has worked the way I described it for a while.

@Uvia - this has always been the functionality as far as I'm aware, ever since we released the new editor.
