Hey @Jan Foster! Don't you have the board filter enabled on your board, for instance? It usually looks like this when the filter is enabled:
If it's enabled, try clicking on the "X" icon to remove it, and check whether all your cards will show up again. If you still have issues viewing your cards, I recommend you raise a ticket with us at https://trello.com/contact. We'll be more than happy to help check your issue.
