When an item's date is past due change the card's expiration date

I would like to know if there is a way to make a checker that would check the expiration dates of the checklist and if it is overdue change the expiration date of the card

I have a client that needed  to push all overdue items on several boards to the current date. The same method can deployed to a card checklist.  There is, currently, no standard Trello automation to do it therefore we had to use the http action to call a custom service to do this.
