What happens to my custom fields if I downgrade from Paid to Free?

I'm considering upgrading to Trello Premium from Free. Let's say I create and utilize custom fields on some cards and then downgrade back to Free at a later time.

What happens to the field names and values on the cards I've already created once I downgrade? Are they still visible/populated? If so, will search/filter include the custom field values in the search?

It is worth noting that custom fields are also available in Trello Standard at half the price...

If you are using custom fields in Premium then downgrade to free, the field data is retained but you will not see it on the cards.  This means that if you then decide to upgrade again in the future, the custom fields will reappear exactly as they were when you last stopped using Premium.
