Using Pattern {cardduedate} returns Invalid Date if the card has no due date assigned

I am using butler to create a report and email report as part of the notification. all works fine except when a card has no due date on it the value Invalid date is stated. is there a way to exclude the date if no due date found?

I have the following in the section "using pattern"

- {{%Project}}:- [{cardname}]({cardlink}) Owner: **{{%Owner}}** Due date: **{cardduedate~ddd Do MMM y}**\n\n
