Urgent, missing all comments in trello board, did they get deleted?

I opened some cards on my board and they say they have comments, and I know they exist, but now when I open the card they are missing.

UPDATE: This is really severe since ALL comments from the board seem to be gone!

UPDATE: For this board, all the comments are even missing from the JSON export!

Under activity there is nothing as well

I'd be glad to troubleshoot this issue with you. Were the comments added to the cards today? If you add a new comment, do you see the number of comments increasing?

Also, could you please access the board using a different browser and let us know if you experience the same behavior?

1. No the comments were not added that day, they were added throughout the whole week. 
2. If I add a new comment, I do see the number of comments increasing and that new comment shows.
3. I used Chrome initially and now after trying Firefox, the issue persists
