How do I activate Two Factor Authentication Code from the mobile app please?
I access my boards daily on my phone with the app, but can no longer use Trello on my desktop.
Deleting cookies from browser history logged me out of Trello on my desktop. When I type in Trello to url all I get is trello.com with a blue flashing bar at the top and an empty screen.
I received an email from Trello inviting me to reconnect to my boards before 30th November or my boards will be deleted - clicking on the link in that email takes me to this Two Factor Authentication page - I don't ever recall setting up a Two Factor Authentication and I cannot find how to generate one from the app menu. Can anyone help please?

Hi @Sarah Jane Worley , welcome to the community.
I see you have the legacy 2FA enabled on your Trello account. I have triggered a process so you can disable it.
A first email is sent and will notify you that the recovery process has started, and a second email will be sent in 24 hours with the link to update your 2FA setting.
Please make sure to do not miss the second email (that expires in 12h) with the instructions to disable it.

Hi Luciana, the link expired, and I've been using TRELLO exclusively on my iphone, until yesterday when it somehow logged out and I only get a blank screen on my phone when I click on Trello :(
May I kindly request you send me another link to disable the two way authentication code?

Hey @Sarah Jane Worley since you mentioned you were using Trello recently, the Trello account I see linked to the email you are using in the community is empty and I don't see activity since 2020.

Hi Rishabh, alas this does not help me. I click on the Trello url link below the heading "Lost your Atlassian account two-step verification codes and emergency key?" in your message and the first screen wants the 2FA Code to login which I do not know and cannot find where to access it on the mobile app, no request for email on that page and nowhere else to go :( Are you able to resend a link to disactivate the 2FA? Thanks for your help, really appreciate! 🙏🏻

Rishabh, I've been using TRELLO exclusively on my phone since Nov 2025 and now I'm logged out of TRELLO on my phone and the screen is blank so now I can't access it on phone or laptop :(
I've just posted another request for help here as I don't know how to find the two-step verification code or how to reset it. May I ask for some help please? The only screen that is visible in Trello is where I need to fill in the two-factor-verification code and I can't go anywhere with that ....
