Trello menu not on the right

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Everywhere online there says there should be a menu on the right that will help you change your background and format your page, but I can't find this menu. The 3 dot menu on the right doesn't have those options either, and some tutorials show a "show menu" button there which I don't see. Thank you for your help
