Our firm used to use Trello years ago (2020 or earlier), I haven't used it for years but another coworker has continued using Trello a lot until a few days ago, when his email/password combo stopped working. When he clicks "Can't log in" and requests a recovery link sent to his email (happens to be his work email), the email never arrives. I am the email administrator so I know these are not going to spam, they are never coming at all. Same happens to me with the email I used to use with Trello, same domain (though, admittedly I haven't used Trello in years). These are personal Trello accounts. I had to create a new Trello account just to get this far to ask this question. Another note is that Trello won't let us create a new account using the email addresses we used to use for trello, implying that trello knows these accounts exist, but we can't log in or get recovery links. Any ideas how to get logged in again?
Hi @Eric Kugler ,
Can you try signing in using any alternative login methods that may have been used previously (like "Continue with Google")?
Can you try with this link directly: https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword ?
Some links that can be useful:
https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/password-reset-issues/
https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/recovering-your-trello-account/
Hi and thanks for the reply!
The alt link https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword doesnt work (already tried, we receive nothing)
And the last link https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/recovering-your-trello-account/ didnt help, our emails are fine and nothing is being blocked...
BUT the "password reset issues" link you sent was interesting... we do have a managed account (through another provider, and it's a Microsoft 365 account now but it wasnt when we first used Trello years ago). And we did change our email domain a few years after we switched to M365. So our work emails are not exactly the same as they were when we signed up with Trello back in the day. We tried the login option "Continue with Microsoft" but that didnt work either... but I will check with our provider, maybe they have an idea. I still dont understand what changed in the last few days to cause my coworker to no longer have access though, that is odd.
So I will check with our provider, but thanks for the good reply... if you have other ideas or things I can try in the meantime let me know!
