Trello keeps closing boards on its own with no chance of recovery. How do I get it back?

There was a bug some time ago when Trello closed many of my boards on its own. I managed to find some and recover them, but whenever I find the remaining closed boards, a message appears informing me that "Only the Administrator can open the board again." So I switch accounts to the board's administrator account, and it still gives the same message, again preventing me from bringing the board back. So I wanted to know if I can restore these closed boards again, or if I can contact system support to have them reopened?

Hi @Eric Augusto Ferreira welcome to the Atlassian community.

Please be informed, the error message "Only the Administrator can open the board again" is correct, but your inability to fix it even as an admin points to a likely conflict between your Board Admin role and your Workspace Admin role, or a provisioning glitch on the board itself.

Action steps:

Standard steps:

  • Log into the correct account.
  • View Closed Boards and attempt reopening.

Advanced Workspace Admin Method (Premium/Standard Workspaces Only):

  • Retrieve the board link: either direct URL of the closed board or or old email notifications for the board link.
  • Enter the Link: Paste the board link directly into your browser's address bar while logged in as the Workspace Admin.
  • The board should open in a read-only view.
  • Click the "Re-open" button or link within that banner.

If the above steps fails, the last option is to contact Atlassian Support.
