Trello inbox automations | Moving card from Inbox into Board

I am triaging emails on a twice daily basis. Emails that relate to projects and/or need action, I send to my Trello inbox creating a card. I currently manually move cards into boards to then work on. I want to automate this task but failing.

I was looking into this recently as well. From what I understand, moving cards directly from the Trello Inbox to another board isn't currently as flexible as moving cards within regular boards.

If you're using Butler, one thing to check is whether the Inbox supports the trigger you're trying to use. Some automations work only after the card has been added to a board.

Could you share a bit more about your current setup?

• Are you trying to move every Inbox card automatically, or only cards that meet certain conditions (like a label or keyword)?
• Are you getting any Butler error messages, or is the automation simply not triggering?

With a few more details, the community should be able to suggest a workaround or confirm whether it's a current limitation.

You can automate this with Trello Butler by creating a rule that moves cards from your Inbox to a specific board when a label, due date, or custom field is added.
