Hi everyone,
I noticed a strange behavior with the Trello desktop app on Windows. The Trello icon on my taskbar is much narrower than other applications.
For example, Spotify, Notepad, and File Explorer buttons display wider labels, but Trello only shows a very small button with the text "Trello". This makes it look inconsistent with the rest of the taskbar and slightly harder to recognize when multiple windows are open.
Expected behavior:
Trello should have a similar taskbar button size as other applications or display the window title properly.
Actual behavior:
The Trello taskbar button remains unusually narrow.
Screenshot attached for reference.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a setting in Trello or Windows that controls this behavior, or is it a known bug?
Hi @Artur Jężak , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Since the board names were displayed in the taskbar until about a week ago and your Windows taskbar settings have not changed, this now suggests a recent Trello desktop app regression rather than a Windows configuration issue.
As a final local check, completely close Trello, restart Windows, then open Trello and select Help → Reset local data. If the behavior remains, reinstall the latest version from the Microsoft Store. I could not find a documented Trello setting that controls the title shown on the Windows taskbar.
If it still displays only Trello, report it with the Trello app version, Windows version, screenshot, and the approximate date when board names stopped appearing. Atlassian provides the steps in its desktop app troubleshooting guide and bug reporting guide.
Thank you for your message @Germán Morales I verified the settings, and they are already configured as you described, but the board names still do not appear.
They were displayed correctly in the taskbar until about a week ago, so this appears to be a bug rather than a Windows taskbar setting. Please report this to the relevant team for investigation.
