Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with Trello push notifications on iOS.
Important details:
- iPhone (iOS latest version)
- Trello iOS app installed and reinstalled multiple times
- Notifications DO appear inside the Trello app
- NO iOS push notifications, no sound, no banner
- Trello does NOT appear under iOS Settings > Notifications
- I was NEVER prompted to allow notifications by iOS
- Email notifications work fine
- Google Calendar sync works
- This happens even for due dates set minutes ahead
Actions already taken:
- Deleted and reinstalled the app
- Reset Location & Privacy settings
- Restarted device
- Verified Trello notification settings (enabled)
- Verified iOS Focus / Do Not Disturb (disabled)
- Logged in via browser and checked notification settings
This seems similar to multiple reports in Atlassian Community where the iOS app fails to register for Apple Push Notifications (APNs).
Please advise how to force re-register my device for push notifications or reset notification permissions on your backend.
Thank you.
Hi Mamdoh,
Guilherme here from the Trello Support Team, welcome to the Trello Community! :)
Thank you for your thorough investigation and for documenting it so well! To fix that, I'd recommend following the steps below:
1. Open the Trello App on your iPhone
2. Go to the Activity tab (bell shaped icon where your notifications are at)
3. Tap on the three dots (...) to the top right
4. Tap on Allow notifications on this device
This should prompt you to allow push notifications on your device. Hope that helps!
Best regards,
Guilherme Michelotto
