Trello favicon keeps changing colors in Chrome tab...why?

I am finally getting around to sharing my boards. I noticed today that the favicon (the icon in the tab of my browser) is seomtimes the regular blue Trello icon, sometimes it is greyed out and other times it has a small red dot over the white dot in the icon.

What does all of this mean and what must be tripped to get it to go back to white?

I think the color is mapped to your board color. So if you are on a pink board it will be pink. The red dot I think means that something has been updated since you last looked at it.
