Trello desktop bogging me down!

Running a 2012 MacBook Pro here with Trello desktop app. Really love it except that, according to my Activity Monitor, "Trello Helper" consistently uses ~ 100% of my %CPU which of course bogs everything down.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything one can do?

Just FYI, it uses a lot of CPU for an idle app on my 2016 MBP 2.9ghz too: 4-9% consistently when running in the background.  Have seen this in large teams and small ones, so I think it's just the baseline.
