Trello board closed + no owner exists (cannot reopen)

Hi,

One of our Trello boards has suddenly been closed, and we are unable to reopen it.

This board is only used by me and my wife, and we are 100% certain that one of us originally created it. We do not have any other Trello accounts, and no one else has ever had access to this board.

The issue is that when we check the closed boards, it now says that neither of us is the creator/owner anymore. Because of this, we cannot reopen the board.

This seems like a broken ownership state, where the board no longer has a valid owner assigned.

There has been no unusual activity on our accounts (same devices, same IPs), and the board only contains personal content (recipes).

Since we cannot contact support directly as free users, we are hoping someone from Atlassian can look into this.

Is there any way to restore ownership or reopen the board?

This looks like an ownership glitch. If no owner is assigned, the board cannot be reopened by members. You can try checking if the board was originally created under a different email or workspace. Also, try accessing it from another browser or device. If the issue still persists, the best option would be to contact Atlassian support through their community or submit a request form, as they may need to manually restore ownership.

Thank you! I’ve already tried accessing it from different devices and browsers. We only have the email addresses we’re currently using.

I’ve already tried submitting a request form, but no matter which one I choose, it seems I need to be a premium user to submit it. As a free user, it says I have to post my issue here in the community forum.

Isn’t this the community forum I already posted in? 😅
