I haven't logged in for a while, and when I finally did all of the cards to my Workspace have disappeared. How do I get it back?

Hi, @Kevin Dickens!👋

It sounds like the board is closed. Closed boards in Trello are hidden from the normal boards list and cannot be edited, but they are not the same as permanently deleted boards. Board admins can reopen a closed board and Premium Workspace admins may also be able to reopen Workspace boards directly. More info: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/reopening-a-closed-board/

The tricky part is this message:

“You're a member of this board, but only board admins are able to reopen it.”

That usually means Trello does not currently see your account as a board admin, even if you believe you were the administrator before. This can happen if:

  • You are logged in with a different Atlassian/Trello account than the one that was board admin.

  • The original admin account is inactive, deleted or different from your current login.

  • You are a Workspace admin but not a board admin (those are not always the same thing).

  • The board was closed by another admin.

I'd suggest checking first whether you have another Trello/Atlassian login, for example an old email, work email, Google or Apple login. If you are sure this is the right account and Trello still says you are not a board admin, then this is probably something Atlassian/Trello Support needs to fix. There is a specific Trello support path for reopening closed boards that can be found from:
https://trello.com/support/reopen-closed-boards

Hope this helps! 💙
