Why do my due dates no longer show up on the front of my trello card and how do I fix that?

Hi @Jennifer Martin ,

Yes, the dates should appear. Are you using the app or the browser? Do you know if other users are also having these issues?

Thanks, I will try that!  It is on the internet version and I have not heard if others are having the same problem.  Maybe it's a just a weird fluke that will fix itself.

Hi Jennifer - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Due dates should still appear on the front of Trello cards. Atlassian’s current documentation explicitly states that a card’s due date and due time appear on both the front and back of the card.

A couple of things are worth checking:

Open one of the affected cards and confirm the due date is still actually set under Dates.
If the card has a full-size cover, Trello hides the normal card detail preview, including due dates, members and checklists. Switching the cover to a half cover or removing it should make those details visible again.
Test another card without a cover to see whether the behavior is board-specific or card-specific.

So if the dates still exist inside the cards but disappeared only from the card fronts, I would check card cover settings first.

If this is happening across cards with no covers as well, then it may be a UI issue rather than an intentional Trello change, and I’d suggest testing another browser/incognito session before raising it with Atlassian Support.

Hope this helps!

I don't use covers and the dates are all set correctly.  The settings look fine as well. The due dates came back today so I'm guessing maybe it was a temporary glitch with Trello or the browser?  Thanks everyone!

I'm glad to hear! Thanks for reporting back to confirm!

Glad to hear the due dates are showing again!

Since nothing was changed on your side, it does sound like it may have been a temporary Trello UI/browser issue.

Thanks for confirming the behavior returned to normal — that’s useful for anyone else who may run into the same thing.
