We are interesting in moving from free Trello to the paid version. Two of our employees are independently using it, and we want to create an organization account and move their work to that account.
I have looked at the website, and I don't see any way to contact a sales person or even a human being. Am I missing something?

You should be able to contact them at Have a question on pricing, billing and licensing? , just click continue without logging in.
