Trello Check-list

EEZZ May 21, 2025

Good Morning,

We use the Trello check-list, but lately the box does not move once you complete one check-list to another. This means it is stuck in the first one. You can slide it manually to the next check-list, but then the checklist does not open up. Does anyone have problems with this and does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi @EEZZ , Welcome to the community!

I understand that you’re facing issues with checklists. Let’s suppose you have two checklists with multiple checklist items under them. I’ve run some tests on my end, and I can move both checklist names as well as checklist items without any issues.

Could you please clarify:

  • Are you unable to swap checklists?

  • Are you facing issues with checklist names or checklist items?

  • Have you tried using a different browser? If so, do you see the same behavior there?

  • Are you using the desktop app, or are you accessing Trello via the web?

I look forward to your response so I can further investigate this issue.

Thank you !

Goodday,

Thank you for your message!

  • No, we can swap the checklist
  • No, the items in the checklist
  • Yes, it is the same in all browsers (safari and Google)
  • Both, we use the app and the web

Is it possible that you take a look at the photo's that I attached?

Here you can see that the 'TEST' is stuck by 'verwerken Avantio" while it supposed to go to "facturatie". I can move it to Facturatie, but then I don't have the check-list what belongs there. It is always in "verwerken Avantio" - it stops after that. Before this checklist it goes easy an we can check everything.

Could you please inform us if this is something we can change on our end?

Hope to hear from you soon.

With kind regards,

Britt - Team EEZZ

@EEZZ I just wanted to check in—have you uploaded any images? I wasn’t able to see any on my end. Could you please double-check and re-upload?

Hi @EEZZ ,

From the screenshot, I can see that the "Test" is a radio button, not a checklist. Could you please share the short link to the board where this issue is occurring? I’d like to check if any third-party Power-Ups are enabled, which might be affecting this behavior.

Thank you !

Goodday Sakshi,

Yes this is no Problem.

Do you mean the URL?: [Board Link]

Or where can I find the short link?

Hi @EEZZ ,

I’ve looked into the issue, and it seems that there might be an automation rule running that moves cards from one list to another. However, the automation is no longer functioning because the automation quota for the Free plan has been exceeded.

You can find more details about the available quota on the Free plan. Please note that the quota resets on the 1st of every month at midnight GMT. You can learn more about the available quota and Trello features here:

https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-quotas-and-limits/

For now, you can manually move these cards to the desired list.

Thank you
