Trello Cards changed. Comments on right side instead of underneath

When I open my trello cards, the card has changed in it's formatting.  The Description and other items are on the left and the comments are on the right.  How do I change it back to what it was where everything was underneath?

Came here to support this. I too wasted time trying to find the way to change to the layout that I prefer. Surely we are beyond forcing layouts on users. A "side-by-side" or "stacked" option for "comments and activity" would be easy to implement and inline with modern web applications.

I use Trello on a vertically oriented monitor that I have for the specific purpose of viewing certain apps that have long content (which all my Trello boards have). This is actually easy to set up in Windows and lot of people use. When I edit a checklist item, the buttons look like this, which just re-enforces that it wasn't designed or tested for common resolutions:

The comments (which I do want to see) now annoyingly takes up half the screen, whereas if it's underneath I can easily see the most recent stuff and just scroll down further if I need more.

Hello @Samantha Skidmore
This is the new interface on the back of cards. You can't revert to the previous version or configure it to your preferences.
It's certainly not perfect, but having comments and activity on the side is better (for me) than at the bottom, since I often have long descriptions and lots of custom fields. Now I don't have to scroll down constantly.

Thanks.  My co-workers Trello doesn't look like mine.  It looks like it did before.  Mine just randomly changed one day.

Hi @Samantha Skidmore This new experience is being gradually rolled out. Over the course of few weeks your co-workers will have the same experience.

We have been showing in-app messages and sent emails informing of the upcoming change. I understand things can be lost or skipped through during our busy work days, I've been there for sure.

If you have any thoughts to share about the new cardback design - we continue to evolve it, I'll be happy to hear your feedback!

Hi Atlassian - please offer the option to switch it back.

@Victor Dronov

Thanks for your reply.  I have seen the messages about the changes happening.  I didn't realize that this was one of those changes that affects me so much.

Please give us the option to choose what view we want to use.  I can see how this would benefit others but some of us, it doesn't.  It isn't helping my productivity at all, it's actually caused more issues for me.

Thanks.

Hello @Samantha Skidmore
Some users are sharing their criticisms and suggestions about the latest "improvements" in Trello. Apparently, they're working on certain aspects that were left behind with the recent update.
Could you share any specific issues this change has caused you?
Thank you very much.

@ACE @Victor Dronov

Thanks for asking.

  • The box that populates when I go into a card is smaller or at least it seems smaller so it makes it difficult to easily see everything that I need
  • I like only one scroll bar that allows me to scroll all the way up or all the way down.  Having two scroll bars is annoying.  I default going to the far right scroll bar since that is where everything is for all websites.  I am expecting the left side to scroll when I am scrolling on the far right and then I realize that I have to go to the middle of the screen to scroll for the left side and then back to the right when I need to scroll for the right section.
  • It was difficult to find the share and the other items that are found in "Actions" by clicking on the ellipses.  I am clicking more than once to "Share", "Copy", "Make a Template" etc. etc.  I have to click on the ellipses and then choose the option.  I just want to choose the option.
  • I liked seeing everything on one screen and it was easier navigating the old "classic" way.
  • I have spent so much time trying to learn this new UI and trying to find a resolution that allows me to go back to the previous view.  The time I have wasted is ridiculous and am extremely frustrated.
  • I dread going into Trello now because of what I am going to see when I go there and know that it's going to take me longer than it did before to do the things that I need.  I can't dread going into Trello.  It is part of my job.
  • Depending on what people do within Trello, I can see where the new interface is beneficial for them.  It is not beneficial for everyone.  Definitely not for me.
  • I am desperate to be able to go back to the "classic" way and am jealous of my co-workers who still have it and their UI hasn't changed.
