The trello is slow. Does archiving will make it faster?

What do you mean by slow phasing?
Trello loads everything into the browsers memory and as a result everything is normally pretty fast.
There are a couple of instances where it will slow down:
When the number of cards on a board starts goes above 2000. If you have cards with lots of labels, custom fields and attachments, this may be notices as low as 1500 cards on a board.
Archiving cards will definitely help. I recommend setting up auto archiving via Trello automation:

If you want to quickly see how many cards are on a board you can hit the f key or click the filter button and in the search box put *
