The complete button has disappeared and I am currently not able to make tasks as complete.

The complete button has disappeared and I am currently not able to mark tasks as complete.  This feature was working fine before.  When I check the settings, it appears that this feature should be working.

The complete button should appear right next to card title https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/mark-a-card-as-complete/
