This is a good point, thanks for bringing that up.
This is the same time picker that's used on Trello's web app at trello.com—which is still a little basic, but this is the primary picker that most of Trello uses. Our mobile apps have taken advantage of certain available mobile API's, but I'll suggest to our team that they look into mimicking those to upgrade that interface!
