Task Repeater question

We just started using the Task Repeater functionality and noticed an issue similar to the one submitted in this post (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-questions/Repeat-function-creating-duplicate-tasks/qaq-p/904883#U953667) and were wondering if it could have something to do with marking a task COMPLETE rather than ARCHIVING it?

We'd prefer to see the completed tasks in a COMPLETED card, where we've marked them to be moved to, but just now noticed nothing in the Trello documentation suggests we should be marking complete, only archiving. Thanks
