Repeat function creating duplicate tasks

I have two tasks that are set to repeat weekly and show up in my inbox. When they repeat I always get two copies of the task that appear to be identical. Is there any way to figure out why this happens or stop it?

We just started using the Task Repeater functionality and noticed the same thing; could it have something to do with marking a task COMPLETE rather than ARCHIVING it? 

We'd prefer to see the completed tasks in a COMPLETED card, where we've marked them to be moved to, but just now noticed nothing in the Trello documentation suggests we should be marking complete, only archiving. Thanks

Are you using the Card Repeater Power-Up? If so, I'd suggest removing the repeat functions on the cards and recreating them following the instructions here: https://help.trello.com/article/1068-using-the-card-repeater-power-up
