Sharing a link - what happens after?

I am sharing a link to my board with 50 fiends. What happens when they click the link? Arte they able to CHANGE the board in any way or do they have to copy first?

Hi @Shirley Porter great question! Did you use the shareable link in the menu? See this link to see what I am referring to:  https://help.trello.com/article/1024-invite-people-by-using-a-shareable-link  If individuals join your board by invitation they will be able to change the board.  There is an observer feature in Trello Business Class that allows you to add Observers:https://help.trello.com/article/732-adding-observers-to-boards 

I know that the Inspiration Boards on https://trello.com/inspiration act as templates where you must copy to your own board in order to use for yourself, but it creates a duplicate board on their account, they can't edit original using this route.

Hi @Shirley Porter you can turn your board into an inspirational Trello template at the following link: https://trello.typeform.com/to/IT481Y I am also thinking of doing this for one of mine if you want to share broadly,

I also noticed this article for sharing/creating  your own templates: https://help.trello.com/article/800-creating-templates-for-cards-lists-and-boards

So you could create the template for individuals with instructions to copy board and edit on their own, and keep your master copy for yourself (a duplicate).

I guess that?s my concern. I want my boards to act as templates. But only for my friends. How do I make my boards into templates??
