Search function on Boards has disappeared

I use Trello to manage my contacts and rather than scrolling through hundreds I use the search box to find the relevant card.  However, this morning the search box has disappeared from the top right of the screen next to Filter where it's always been.  Does this feature only have limited uses for the free version of Trello which is why it's disappeared or have I hidden it by mistake?

No, the search bar should always be available to you. :) 
You may have hid it per accident - please check the trello settings and look out for "show search bar".
