Hi

I copied and pasted a board to a different Workspace today, and 'the copy' did not copy and take all the card comments. Please can anyone tell me how I can find and reinstate those cards with the comments please?

Thank you!

Hello @Charlotte

When you copy a full Trello board, card comments, activity, and members are left behind (though they remain safe on the original board).

To preserve comments, use the individual list-copy method instead:

 1. Create a new empty board.

 2. Go to the original board and copy each list over one by one.

Alternatively, if you just want the board in a different Workspace, you can move the original board rather than copying it. Since you can't retroactively merge comments into your current copy, it is best to recreate it using the list method.

Best,

Thank you Arkadiusz

However, I did not realise they hadn't copied and deleted the old workspace. If I contact Trello, will they be able to find the old boards on a backup and reinstate them, do you think?

Best

Charlotte

I try to not "Assume" Anything.

You can try 😊
