I have a checklist that is automatically added to every new card that I add to my board. I want to add 2 new items to the checklist so that there are 11 items. However, when I add the new card the previous checklist keeps being added with only 9 items. I've been doing this for 3+ years. In the past if I wanted to change the checklist, I'd add items and then from that point it would add the new checklist to the card. The checklist doesn't update now. I don't have a template card. I don't have the checklist saved anywhere. It just always worked for me. Until now. Help! I have a lot of new cards to make and I don't want to manually change the checklist for every new card.
You have to be sure where the template checklist is coming from, if you haven't defined that it is likely pulling it from cards where the 9 items are added.
To be sure, I recommend defining the card where the template checklist is coming from by its card link, then you are guaranteed that it will always use that one...
@Daydreamer Mike I don't have a template, I never have. If I read between the lines you're saying that Trello has changed their coding and my simple way of adding a checklist no longer works. I can manually chose from the drop down menu and add the checklist that I've amended. But the simple automation still adds the old checklist. I guess the only option is being forced to make another rule that adds the checklist. Thank you for answering the question!

I made the rule, pointed it to a card that has the correct checklist. The old checklist is still adding to the card. However, if I wait 3 or 4 hour the new/correct checklist is replacing the old checklist on the card. I had to create over 200 cards and it appears that Trello interface is extremely slow today. I don't know why it is still adding the old checklist and then replacing it with the new checklist. As long as it does it, then it will work out fine.
