I wanted to submit a bug, but it directed me here...
In this case I'm using it for personal stuff, not work, but the bug would affect anyone, so here goes...
I logged into the new Trello today to use my board for package tracking. Whenever I try to add a package to be tracked, it is randomly inserting a tracking number into the field and I have to replace it with the number I want to be in there. This wasn't immediately obvious to me. I haven't used I haven't done this in weeks/months so I don't know where the number it is inserting is coming from.
When you try to select the number to remove it and copy/paste a new one in, your selection isn't highlighted. When I put my cursor in to delete it with the Delete key, nothing happens. However, when I just put my cursor there and pressed CTRL-V, it was replaced. Before I realized it was a random number and not from the link I'd put in the card's Description/Note field that is automatically there I thought it was broken because the Track button is grayed out. I was trying to enter a package from FedEx and the number it added is UPS. After several attempts it finally clicked in my brain that it was a number starting in 1Z which means UPS. Track was grayed out because there was a UPS number with FedEx set as the carrier. I have some 13+ packages coming due to a bathroom remodel and just other just daily life stuff coming that was split into multiple shipments, so having this feature work properly would be great.
Hi Robin,
Thanks for reporting this problem.
I tried to reproduce it without success. Do you select the carrier before adding the number?
Could you try to perform the same process using an incognito window?
Let me know the results of your tests, and we'll continue to analyze the case. :)
