Hi.
I have always been able to cut and paste a snip (which is a regular png. file) directly into the comments. And then later on I could always just click the picture uploaded into the comments and it would enlarge. This is very useful to me because it provides a good way to have a chronology of pictures WITH my own comments in the same comment box.
I have still active pictures like this in many of my comments and I can still click them and they enlarge but as of just these last few days if I try to do the same in new cards it will not work. I do get the picture to load and save into the comment box but if I try to click it in order to enlarge it, nothing happens. I realize that the picture will automatically also save in the attatchments and I can click it there and it will enlarge but that negates the whole purpose because I cannot add my written comments to the pictures uploaded as regular attatchments.
Anybody know why this has changed and why I cannot upload pictues to the comments AND enlarge them by clicking them anymore? I use Edge, but browser should not be the reason because like I said: I can still work old uploads in the comment boxes but not new ones - all using the same browser.
Hi @Eric Perroud,
Looks like you've found a bug. We made some recent changes to the way images are inserted and that had the unfortunate side effect of breaking the image preview functionality.
I've rolled back this change, but unfortunately that roll back won't affect descriptions or comments that were made while the change was in place. You should be able to go back to those comments, edit them and remove and re-insert the image to fix it. No need to re-upload. Those images should already be attached to the card. Just click the little image icon or select image from the "+" menu in the toolbar and then click on the image thumbnail to insert it.
Thanks for reporting this. We'll get this fixed properly before trying to roll this change back out.
Thanks,
Marcus Ellis
Hey there @Eric Perroud,
Just wanted to let you know that a fix for this bug has been released. Opening images in the viewer should be working correctly now. You may need to refresh your browser or restart the Desktop app to ensure you're on the last version.
Regards,
Marcus Ellis
