Ongoing article number

Hello! I search for a while in the community, but i found now answer about my question: I have a business case for a customer which sell used items. So i will create a workflow for handle new products. By this way i need for every card when i will create this, a unique article number which will count one more. I will start with 1000, the next new card should be 1001 and ongoing. Is there a way to do this? I try some add ons, but i did not find the right one. Many thanks for your help
