Notifications of Repeating Tasks. Is it possible?

I have set some repeating tasks using the card repeater, of which I would like to be notified of, on the due dates. So far I cannot see this working. Is it possible?

Also is there any way to reduce the 24 hr notification period for regular tasks as well as the repeating ones?
