Hi, my project member has as issue; when she opens an email in outlook because another project member added her as a memeber to a card og wrote somerhing to her in the comment-function in trello (usind @'), she has to log in to trello (usind both password and code) though she has the app on her desk top where she is already logged in. Can you help?

This is usually expected behavior. The links in Outlook open in your default web browser, not the Trello desktop app. Even if she's already signed in to the desktop app, the browser has its own separate login session, so Trello will ask her to sign in there as well.

Once she logs into Trello in that browser, the links should open normally without prompting every time (unless the session expires or your organization's security settings require frequent sign-ins). It's a bit inconvenient, but it's how Trello currently handles email links.

Hello @Martha Louise Kjærbye

Trello desktop app and your web browser maintain entirely separate login sessions. Thats the problem.

Outlook email links open in your default browser and not routing back into the desktop app, so you will just need to log into Trello once in that browser to view the content.

There some older post describing this behavior.

Solved: How do I get Trello links to open in the Trello Ma...

Best,

Hi again. Okay, thank you for explaining that. But do I need to log into trello ind the browser each time I open my computer or is it default connected when I 've done it once? (Because on my own computer, the links I click on in my outlook mail, just opens the card in the app on my computer - but it does not work that way on my collegues computer..)

Outlook might be forcing links to open in a specific browser (like Edge) where she isn't logged in, or her system may lack the protocol handler needed to redirect web links to the desktop app.

Regarding her frequent logouts, she shouldn't need to re-authenticate daily if her browser session is preserved. Have her log directly into trello.com using the exact browser profile that Outlook launches, and ensure that her browser settings or corporate IT policies aren't automatically clearing cookies for trello.com and atlassian.com upon closing the window or restarting the computer.

Just basically compare what is different comparing to your setup.
