I have tried contacting Planyway, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the power-up and Trello. I've also tried other similar power-ups, but they either don't work or send me to the website version instead of running through the desktop app.

Try to install the power-up (add to board and authorize) in the browser app, and then you should be able to use it from the desktop app
I did this already, too.
