New upgrade with an inbox appearing and I don't want to see it. How do I remove it?

I recently accept an upgrade of some sort that is now showing an inbox.  I do not want to see the inbox and cannot figure how to remove it.

You can click the leftmost button in the bottom island to hide the Inbox
