Working my way through the Trello improvements ... if I create a new card on a board, there is no longer a clear way to add a member, e.g. assign the task, which is kind of important. The only option appears to be to find an existing card assigned to the member, then copy it and strip out all of the stuff you don't need and type in what you want it to be? Is this intentional? Thanks
Hello, unfortunately, that is not an option for me, there is no Members button:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
And if I try to add it as a field option, there is no option:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Custom field doesn't allow me to add members field, thanks

Any chance you are on a template board? We don't allow members on template boards and there has been no changes around that functionality.
Appreciate your clarification on this hypothesis. In all other cases you should be able to add members to a card.

Thanks @Victor Dronov
I've been using this board for 13 years so not sure how or why it's a "template" board. All of the cards currently have members, I just can't add members to new cards. So I've created a board from the template but now I have about 300 cards that I need to re-add members to. And I'll need to change all of my views. Is there a quicker way to change a template board to a "non-template" board?

Instead of creating a new board from the template, I went to Settings and chose "Convert to board" so that's preserved the card members.
I'm clearly going to be a problematic legacy user!
