New User — Integrating with Slack

I'm a new Trello user. I'm tracking the development of a new product. So I have created one board in Trello for the product. Then I have a card for each vendor  that I am getting estimates from. 

In Slack we have a separate channel for each vendor. I can't figure out how to assign a particular Trello card to a specific channel in Slack.

Perhaps I'm going about it wrong?

Right now, you can only link entire boards to channels. You can however create a Slack alert for specific card changes to that linked channel: http://help.trello.com/article/1049-slack-app
