Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new Trello Card.
2. Enter a comment with only a fenced code block
``` my fenced code block text ```
Press ctrl-enter to save the comment.
3. Click on "Write a comment..." to begin entering a new comment.
4. New comment automatically pre-populates with the previously saved fenced code block.
This behavior seems counter-intuitive and does not seem like what most clients would expect or want to happen.
Hi @Steven Rudisill ! 👋
Hope you’re doing well, and welcome to the community! 😊
Thank you so much for reporting this issue. I’ve successfully reproduced the behaviour on my test board and have raised a public bug report for our engineering team to investigate.
You can track the progress and find more details here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1778
I have also included this post as an internal comment on the report. This ensures our developers have all the context they need and helps them better understand the impact when prioritising a fix.
What’s next?
While I don't have a specific ETA for the fix just yet (as it depends on the team's current backlog and the complexity of the issue), you can stay informed by clicking "Start watching this issue" on the bug report link above.
If you're curious about how we handle these reports, feel free to check out the Atlassian Cloud Bug Fix Policy | Atlassian Support | Atlassian Documentation.
If you have any additional questions, further details to share, or any other feedback, please feel free to directly comment on the bug report.
Thanks
