Nesting children under parents

In Trello, I'd like to have one main list (for example, "Fall 2019") then "child" tasks under it (for example, "Admissions", "Enrollment").  And each of those lists would have their own cards.  Is there a way to do this?  I find that the lists get out of hand pretty quickly.

Hi Susie, there are a number of Power-Ups that can display dependent tasks.

From what I understand you want, it is probably the Epics by Screenful Power-Up that suits you best. Anyway, here's an article that outlines the 3 options you have for showing card dependencies.
