I have 2 Trello accounts. I want to delete one and change the primary email on the other. However when I log in to the original one, I'm not receiving the numeric code on email to be able to log in and deal with this. Not in spam either. Any ideas welcome?

Hi @Sam Hartley , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The six-digit email is Atlassian's identity verification message. Select Didn't get the code? Resend it and look for an email with the subject Verify your identity. Add noreply@id.atlassian.com and do-not-reply@trello.com to your contacts or allow list. For a company or private email domain, ask the mail administrator to check server-level filtering. Atlassian lists the other checks in its identity verification troubleshooting guide.

Once you can sign in, do not delete the duplicate first if it uses the email address you want to keep. Use this sequence:

  • Invite the account you are keeping to any boards and Workspaces owned by the other account, and make it an admin where required.
  • On the unwanted account, change its email address to a third address you can access and complete the verification.
  • Change the kept account to the released address and verify it, then delete the unwanted account.

Changing the unwanted account's address first releases the desired email immediately. Deleting it first starts a 14-day grace period during which the address remains associated with that account. Atlassian documents this process in its account email guide.

If the verification code still does not arrive after these checks, Atlassian directs unresolved account-login issues to General Inquiries. Deleting the Trello profile must still be initiated while logged in and finalized through the registered mailbox, as explained in Delete your Trello profile.

@Germán Morales

Your paragraph about “Request Assistance” does not really apply here, as that process is not even documented as a general option for all users.

Here in the Community, only accounts with the appropriate support entitlement can use the Request Assistance option. ( So far you not meaning anything else )

You're right, @Arkadiusz Wroblewski . I saw the Request assistance option on my screen and incorrectly assumed it was available to everyone. I overlooked that it is only shown to certain accounts. I've updated the answer to use Atlassian's general account-support route instead. Thanks for pointing that out.
