Good morning everyone,
I am having an issue with access to a Trello account that is not the administrator. We created another account so the user could set up their own board, but when trying to log in from a mobile phone, it shows the following message: "Managed account. Your account uses single sign-on. Contact your identity provider administrator to change your email address."
We purchased Trello directly through the website using a credit card, so who should I contact about this?
Additionally, when the administrator tries to log in, it displays a similar message: "Managed account. Your account is managed. Contact your administrator to change your email address."
Why is this happening and what is the solution?
Thank you very much!
Hi @Romina Arriola ,
That message means someone at your company has verified your email domain in an Atlassian organization, which automatically makes every account on that domain "managed". Paying for Trello with a credit card doesn't change this, account ownership and billing are two separate things.
The "administrator" the message refers to is whoever inside your company owns that Atlassian organization, usually IT or whoever first set up Jira, Confluence or Trello there. Trello support can't override it.
You need to find that person and ask them to either release the accounts, update the emails for you, or if SSO is enforced, give you the correct login link. On mobile, SSO usually means logging in through the browser first and then reopening the app.
To find the admin, go to admin.atlassian.com from a desktop while logged in. It normally shows which organization is managing your account and who to contact.
Once you know who owns the org, this is a quick fix on their side. Hope it helps!
