I no longer have access to the email address linked to my Jira & Trello account. Now, when we try to update the email on our account, it sends a verification code to that old email address. Additionally, we're also facing this issue while logging in—it sends a login verification code to the same inaccessible email, which is preventing us from accessing the account altogether.
Please assist me in updating the email address of my account.
Unfortunately, you need access to the email on file in order to update the account email to a new one.
Is there any way you can regain access to the original email account, even temporarily? If there is a new owner, can you ask them to help you? If the account doesn't exist anymore, can it be temporarily recreated? If you simply can't log into the account, have you tried every last resort option provided by the email provider to get into the account (like account recovery)?
Otherwise, in order to update the email on file, Atlassian needs to prove you own the account, and, currently, the only way to do so is to verify you own the email associated with the account. There's no other way for Atlassian to know that you're really the owner of the account.
Here's a full article Atlassian wrote. Make sure you've done everything in it. I hope you regain access to your account, and I'm sorry that you're dealing with this!
