Hi Atlassian team,
I'm locked out of my free Trello account by legacy Trello two-step
verification and need it removed.
Symptoms:
- Login redirects straight to the old "Two Factor Authentication Code"
screen (legacy Trello 2FA — not Atlassian account 2FA).
- I no longer have the original authenticator seed or the legacy Trello
recovery codes.
- I've already completed Atlassian account recovery and reset my Atlassian
two-step verification; that did NOT clear the legacy Trello 2FA.
- The account was never linked to Google/Microsoft/Apple SSO, so there's
no bypass button.
Request: Please remove/disable legacy two-step verification on this account
so Atlassian 2FA becomes the sole method.
(Posting from the Community account on the same email as the locked
Trello account, so it should be matchable on your end.)
I understand there might be a ~24-hour security hold and follow-up recovery email,
and I'm ready to complete that flow. Thanks!
Hi @Jeff ,
I'm guessing you've followed these steps: Troubleshooting two-step verification?
At the end, there's a section for legacy authentication issues.
If nothing of that works, you can reach out to support through here: Atlassian Support: Pricing, Billing & Licensing > select Your Account > Log in issues and fill out the form below (note that you'll probably have to click Need more help? at the bottom of the screen to continue raising the request) 👈
Cheers,
Tobi
