Labeling card by late Tasks

I want to add a label to every card that has a late task and I'm wondering if this is possible.

I'm also thinking I have to do this in two different ways. One for new cards that switch from on time to late and one for existing cards with existing check list items that are already late.

I looked at the check list trigger that is "When a due date is (set on/Removed from)" but I have a feeling this is only for when changes are made not something that is continually tracked. Is there a way to capture this?

I also looked at creating a button or schedule an item that would look at all cards that had past due tasks. However for some reason it does not have anything that looks like it would catch "Past due check list items"

TLDR; I want to add a label "Checklist Item Late" to every card that has a check list item that is late. I would like this to be automated.

Hi Matt, 

I'm afraid you're right, there isn't a trigger/action for automation regarding past due date or about to be due for checklist items (only for cards due dates).
