Keyboard shortcuts for Inbox?

Rio October 28, 2025

I have checked the list of shortcut keys but could not find a shortcut key for accessing the Inbox. Is a shortcut key for accessing the Inbox available?

Hey there, @Rio! Good news is, there seems to be a keyboard shortcut to access the Inbox. The reason you could not find it was that tit is nowhere near the list of shortcuts. This is the line I found:

"You can expand or collapse your Inbox from the navigation bar, or with the keyboard shortcut g+i."

The Support Documentation URL is linked here where I found it (2nd paragraph after the title). Hopefully we'll get it sorted back with its mates at this URL one day!

Thank you for your reply. I have one further question.

The Inbox loaded correctly using the shortcut (g+i), but I cannot find a shortcut key that focuses the input cursor on the "Add a card" field in the Inbox. Is such a shortcut key available? For example, pressing the "N" key allows me to create a new card within a board list; I am looking for something similar to that.

I read through the two keyboard shortcuts lists we have, and the only thing I could find other than "N" for inserting a new card was "Create new card with text", but that is just ctrl + v/cmd + v, if you had copied a text/link first.

I want to get this keyboard shortcut list I got directly from the Trello.com site over to you before I do a little more digging.

I also saw on the list from Trello.com that "?" will open the keyboard shortcuts list. I will do a little Support Docs deep diving; you have to be able to create a card if you can move, copy, and link it!
