For weeks we've run into an issue where uploaded images (usually jpgs for us) are not rendering the thumbnail, it is just showing a flat color picked from the background of the image, e.g. if there's a brown background the entire thumbnail is brown.
I can see this has also been a problem in the past. Any word on when it will be resolved?
Thank you, Karen
Hello @Karen Newcombe
If the downloaded JPG works, your file isn't corrupted, this is likely a backend glitch with Trello's thumbnail preview generation.
Try converting the image to a standard sRGB JPG or PNG to rule out color profile problems. If the preview still displays as a flat color block, reach out to Trello Support with the card URL and original file so they can investigate.
There was a recent issue where attachments also got affected but I don't want to jump ahead and assume premature anything yet.

Hi Arkadiusz,
The files are not corrupted and this has nothing to do with color profiles. The problem is that we want to look at a group of thumbnails and make some choices.
In this example, we recently had our annual fundraising gala, and I am pulling photos for my team to review for potential use. In some instances we have several photos of the same people, and we want to look through them to see which ones to use. Except all we can see without opening each file is blobs of color.
It's a problem across all of our boards; some thumbnails render but most of them look like color chips.
We use Chrome as our browser, if that's relevant. It's not an emergency, obviously, but it would be nice if it were fixed.
Thanks!
