Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your patience.
Our engineering team has successfully identified the root cause of this behavior. We are currently working on publishing a fix to the production version of the app, and we expect this to be fully rolled out to all users by Monday or Tuesday.
Immediate Workaround: Join the Android Beta
For those who need an immediate fix, the correction is already included in our latest Android Beta build. If you’d like to access the fix right now, you can follow the instructions here:
👉 Trello for Android beta program | Trello | Atlassian Support
Once you have updated to the beta version, please try accessing the Labels menu again.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely until the fix is live for everyone in the standard Play Store release. Thank you again for sticking with us while we get this sorted!

Hi @Kevin Halbleib ,
Can you maybe try using an incognito window or a different browser? Alternatively, you could try clearing your cache and cookies in your current browser and session to see if that will help.
I did just try clicking on Labels button on a couple of boards and everything works as expected 👀
Cheers,
Tobi

Ah, my bad @Kevin Halbleib
I did try the same with latest Android app (v2026.13.3.76352-20260623) and things seem to work okay.
Can you try checking for updates and see if you can update the app? Also, it might be worth trying to reinstall the app completely to see if that will resolve the problem.

I'm running the same version. I did try to uninstall and reinstall. Same results. When I open a card and I tap labels it just flashes. It should open the labels and allow me to add a label to a card, edit a label, etc

I also tried clearing cache and clearing storage for the Trello app. Same issue. It seems upon various updates. Different things break. I also noticed that watching is automatically turning on.

Applied Android update. Still the same. Cannot, remove,or edit a label on a card.

@Kevin Halbleib I've pinged the forum support team. Hopefully someone will chime in and maybe raise a ticket related to this 👀

Thank you. I hope it's just something with my app but it doesn't seem to be.
When I tap the label section on the screen it just flashes. All other sections work as expected.

Any update? I use labels extensively to prioritize cards. As is it's inoperable.

Unfortunately, nothing yet. If no one chimes in here, what I'd suggest is starting free trial for one of the paid plans and then raising an official ticket here Atlassian Support. Once you resolve this, you can just let your trial end (or raise a ticket to downgrade back to free plan).

All of the same behaviors as when a new release drops. Whoever touches a card is automatically made a member, and they're put on the watch for each card. All that's usually backed out after a couple of weeks when they realize.

Presuming that means starting all over with my data?
No need. You can simply upgrade one of your existing workspaces by navigating here and selecting an existing one (the one where you have these issues with labels). Once you start the trial, you should be able to reach out to support and create a ticket at Atlassian Support.

@Kevin Halbleib not sure what to say... :/
I can still see that the ticket is 'pending a review' from Atlassian Forums team, but have you tried this:

Have not. Figure just something else I'll need to cancel. I am still thinking it could be my android 17 pixel 8. Security setting maybe? Odd that just "labels" is affected but at each release it does seem to turn on "watch card" and "add member" automatically for every card I edit (e.g. change due date). .

2026.14.1.77868-20260708 works now. Update appeared this morning.
Seems every major release breaks something. Usually cards enable watch and whoever makes an update is added as a member. Maybe you can post this to atlassian and they can correct their release process. Glad it works!
